How to Pour the Perfect Pint of Guinness
The best way to get a good-looking and great-tasting pint of the black stuff is the two-part pour.
Firstly, pour the Guinness into a clean, dry glass, tilted at 45 degrees until it is three-quarters full. Next up, you WAIT! Some say 45 seconds, some say a little longer. In fact, the supposed perfect time (according to science) is 119.53 seconds. Not all bartenders are afforded the luxury of time, however, it is important to allow a pause in pouring to let the storm settle...
Good things come to those who wait.
Allow the contents to settle fully before finally straight-filling the rest of the pint to the top. Try to make sure there's a proper head on it too!
